Join my husband, Brian, and me on our very first backpacking adventure through The Narrows in Zion National Park in July, 2018. We had no idea when we set out that this challenging and unforgettable journey would lead to one of the most meaningful photographs of my career.

As we made our way through the canyon, surrounded by towering walls, rushing water, and the incredible quiet of the wilderness, I captured an image that would stay with me long after we returned home. After losing my brother to pancreatic cancer, I dedicated that photograph to him. It has become one of my top-selling pieces.

This video captures not only our first experience hiking The Narrows, but the journey behind two images that came to represent something deeply personal to me: love, loss, memory, and finding beauty even in the midst of grief.
