Award-Winning Photographer Neshama Roash: Saint Louis, MO
Thank you for taking the time to view my work! I’m Neshama Roash, a photographic artist and graduate of the Art Institute of Colorado. I initially built my career in portrait and event photography, managing my studio for over two decades. However, a year and a half after losing my dad unexpectedly, the heartwrenching loss of my younger brother to pancreatic cancer led to a major shift in my view on life. This change brought a renewed desire to capture the beauty of nature and humanity’s positive influence upon it through my lens. With the incredible support of my loving husband, I fully transitioned my business from portraiture to nature photography. It has been a challenging, but also healing and exciting, journey.
Since the end of 2019, I've showcased my vibrant landscapes and intimate close-ups of nature in juried fine art exhibitions, receiving numerous awards, including "Best in Show" at the 2023 Mosaics Fine Art Festival. My work has been featured in national and international exhibitions such as "Wanderlust" at the Webster Arts Gallery in Saint Louis, Missouri and "Art that Matters to the Planet" at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute in Jamestown, New York. Several pieces have earned merits from the Professional Photographers of America, with my image, "Grand Haven Calm," recently receiving the highest award of distinction, Imaging Excellence, securing its publication in the 2025 Imaging Excellence Collection. My art is also displayed in private homes and professional spaces across the United States.
Through my work, I try to create immersive images that spark feelings of connection and joy, and remind us to appreciate life.
With love & gratitude,
Neshama
